Kindness by Invitation

Day 32: Kindness by Invitation

“Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it!” – Maya Angelou

Invite what you want and desire into your life. Go ahead and ask your higher power, your god, the universe and even those around you. Be vocal and do not be afraid to ask for help. Write it down, paste it to your wall, frame it, whatever it is, ask for it. Just be certain to be very clear and detailed about what you want and desire, otherwise you might get what you asked for, but not what you imagined.  I asked for kindness and I am certainly receiving it and creating it more and more each day. What do you want and desire? Go ahead and invite it into your life!

  1. Kindness to Self:

Asking for what we want out of life starts from within us.  We can spend a lifetime trying to find things and people to fulfill us, but when we figure out that we are the only one that can create what we truly desire, life will be much simpler and kinder.

  2. Kindness to Others:

It is always a good idea to reach out and ask for help when we need it. However, when it comes to asking others for what we want, we are never guaranteed the exact results we hope for, so let’s try to be open and accepting of the help that is offered. Accept it with gratitude and grace or we can learn to say no thank you, when it does not work for us.

  3. Kindness to Strangers:

Not getting what you need and desire from your trusted family, friends and community? Try inviting like minded people/strangers into your life through new activities and communities. Create the community that you desire by being open and strategic.

  4. Kindness to Our Planet:

Invite more nature into your life. Make the time to get outside and enjoy whatever type of nature surrounds you. I don’t know about you, but I always feel uplifted, closer to my higher power, one with the planet and clear after being in nature. Whether taking a hike in the hills, a walk on the beach or a stroll through the city park, creating time to be in nature is inviting kindness into our hearts and souls.
