World Kindness Day

Today is World Kindness Day! Let’s celebrate by simply choosing to love more. Spread and show your kindness through the simple act of love. Let your heart lead you today in everything that you do and say.

Day 1: Kindness Through Love.

  1. Kindness to Self:

    Love yourself the way you have always desired to be loved. Treat yourself with tenderness, compassion, kind words, understanding and acceptance for who you are and where you are.

  2. Kindness to Others:

    Love others by slowing down, making eye contact and really listening with an open heart. Take the time to hug and kiss your loved ones and tell them how important they are to you.

  3. Kindness to Strangers:

    Show your love and affection, human to human, by giving a stranger the gesture of love by making a connection. Show your loving kindness from a place of compassion and understanding. Even a simple smile when given from a place of love can elicit a change in the other person. And if you can’t wrap your brain around the idea of showing love to a stranger, try showing love to someone you have a challenging relationship with or dare I say hate, cannot stand, irritates you…you get the idea.

  4. Kindness to our Planet:

    Show your love to our planet by picking one thing you can add to your every day routine that will help the earth. Cut your shower by 2 minutes, recycle everything you can and choose to use reusable containers rather than plastic or make a charitable contribution to your favorite environmental organization. Use your imagination, the possibilities are endless.

    The more we show love, understanding and compassion, the more kindness we will create. This is also Day 1 of 365 days of kindness. Let’s make everyday World Kindness Day. Check back tomorrow and everyday to learn about how you can make a diffidence in your life and others’ through the simple act of kindness.
